Is there a legendary fish in How to Really Fish?

The game has never published a fish list. The developer's description names no species, the official screenshots show a whale and a rod and no catch, and Roblox's badge endpoint returns empty descriptions for all thirteen badges. So the honest answer to whether legendary fish exist is that the game implies them and does not name them.

The implication comes from exactly two badge names. Stuff of Legends has 7,532 holders and a 2.4% rate. Myth Confirmed has 3,055 holders and a 0.9% rate. Both sit above ordinary milestones like Seasoned Angler and below only Master Angler, the rarest badge in the game at 446 holders.

You will see the words mythical and legendary attached to this game by other pages. Neither word appears in anything the developer published, as far as we can read. What exists is a pair of badge names that use mythological language, and that is a different thing.

What the two counts say, and what they refuse to say

Read as a ladder, the pair is informative. Between Stuff of Legends at 7,532 and Myth Confirmed at 3,055 the holder count falls by about 2.5 times. Between Myth Confirmed and Master Angler it falls by nearly seven times, the steepest single step in the whole badge set. So whatever these badges ask for, the last rung asks for a great deal more.

Now the interesting part. If the two names described two stages of one story, you would expect the earlier stage to be the more common one, and it is: more people hold the legend than have confirmed the myth. But narrative order and difficulty order do not have to be the same thing, and nothing published says whether Myth Confirmed is a harder version of the same catch or a separate rung below it.

We can also say what the pair is not. Neither badge is about money, unlike the three cash milestones. Neither is about survival, unlike Sleeping with the Fishes. Neither names a creature, unlike Kraken Slayer. These two are the only figurative names in the set, which is a reasonable sign that they track the same kind of thing, and no more than a sign.

Why no fish list exists anywhere

A game whose store page is a few short lines does not maintain a wiki, and this game's documentation is thinner than most. The description names fish only in the abstract, cash, lures and weapons as purchases, creatures as a threat, and islands as something coming. There is no bestiary, no rarity table, no map.

That leaves three places a fish name could show up, and we have checked all three. The badge list, where it would have to appear inside a badge name. The official art, where it would have to be legible on screen. And the update record, which consists of a timestamp with no changelog attached.

This site's own systems table lists ten entries and not one of them is a fish, which is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. We could have filled that table with the species names that circulate in Roblox fishing games generally. A table like that would rank well and would be wrong about this game.

How to search for this without getting invented answers

If you look for this game's rare fish, you will find pages. The useful question to ask of any of them is where the name came from: a screenshot, a developer post, or nothing. Ours is the third category, which is why this page has no list on it.

Our own rule for adding a fish to this site is that a screenshot or a developer statement has to exist, something a second person can check. A name that appears in only one player's account gets published with that label attached, not as a fact. That rule costs us pages. It is also the reason the pages we have are worth reading.

One thing the badge dates do rule out

Every one of this game's thirteen badges was created on 27 August 2026. That single date is useful here, because it rules out the most common explanation for a near-empty top of a ladder: that the rarest badges were added recently and simply have not been earned yet. They were not added recently. They have existed since three days after the game launched.

So a badge held by 446 players out of a game that has passed a million visits is either extremely hard, buried behind something most players never reach, or both. The counts cannot tell us which. They can tell us it is not a matter of time.

The other thing the shared creation date tells us is that the set is a single design rather than an accumulation. All thirteen badges, from Gone Fishin through the money milestones to Master Angler, were configured on one day, which suggests the progression was planned as a whole before players ever saw it.

What we have not checked

We have not earned either badge, caught anything rare, or seen the game played. We do not know what triggers Stuff of Legends or Myth Confirmed, whether they need a particular lure or weapon, whether they are solo or crew content, which map or island they happen in, how many of each fish exist, or whether they are repeatable.

We also do not know whether these two badges are adjacent on one track. The holder counts put one above the other, and that is all we have. Anything more definite, including the idea that one is a harder version of the other, is our reading rather than a published fact.
